The upcoming app

A little less to think about.

From a dinner idea to dinner on the table. The screens are captured in the app.

  1. Tonight

    A suggestion for tonight.

The first time, you pick a few things you have and Babcio finds a dish that uses them. After that, a suggestion is ready when you open the app. If you’d rather have something else, she finds another.

The screen: Babcio’s suggestion in the app: Egg Drop Soup, ten minutes, easy, because you have chicken and onion.

Watch the recording: A suggestion for tonight.
  2. The week

And the rest of the week?

Tell her the mood. She lays out seven dinners so you avoid repeats, and gathers the ingredients into one list. If a dish doesn’t fit, swap it.

The screen: The "Your week" plan: seven dinners, today is miso-glazed salmon.

Watch the recording: And the rest of the week?
  3. Shopping

    One list for the shop.

One tap puts the dish on your shopping list with the amounts to buy. Group the list by dish or by type of food, and tick things off as you go.

The screen: The grocery list by dish: Egg Drop Soup, seven ingredients with amounts.

Watch the recording: One list for the shop.
  4. At the stove

    One step at a time.

The step, what it uses and a timer. She reads it aloud if you like and has a tip where things can go wrong.

Hands-free: say “next, Babcio”. Needs an iPhone that understands English on the phone itself.

The screen: Cook mode, step one of four, with the timer running.

Watch the recording: One step at a time.
  5. Done

    Dinner’s ready. You made it.

She wishes you a good meal, and the dish earns points towards your next cooking title. Small badges come when you earn them.

The screen: The completion screen: "Dinner’s ready, kochanie. Enjoy it.", +20 XP and new badges.

Watch the recording: Dinner’s ready. You made it.

What does Babcio cost?

The app is free, and Pro is a choice. You buy the food yourself at your usual shop. Babcio doesn’t sell or deliver food.

Not yet: grocery ordering and asking Babcio questions while you cook.

  • The app On its way

What does the food itself cost?

And the food itself?

A grocery example compared with meal boxes.

One family’s own week at the shop, Babcio Pro included, against four meal boxes at normal price. Different dishes and different services. Price per serving in a dated example from 13 September 2026. This example does not measure the saving from using Babcio.

DKK per serving

How to read these numbers

  • The shop is a family week with offers and ready-made food such as meatballs and pizza dough. It is not a meal plan from Babcio’s recipes.
  • Meal boxes are a different service: recipes, measured ingredients and delivery, at normal price without an introductory discount.
  • Babcio Pro is DKK 49 a month. Spread over 28 servings a week, that is DKK 0.40 a serving. Cook fewer evenings and the share grows.
  • Salt, pepper and spices are assumed. It is one dated example, not a promise of what your week will cost.

Babcio, the illustrated grandmother with her cooking spoon.

From the founder

There was a real Babcia.

I grew up half Polish, and some of my happiest memories are around my Babcia’s cooking. Her food brought our family together. It wasn’t just about eating. It was about care, warmth, conversation, and spending time with the people you love.

I started Babcio because I believe everyone deserves to experience that feeling, even if they didn’t grow up with someone teaching them how to cook.
